Upload Studio is an app which captures users gameplay footage and allows them to edit it to make short clips which can be uploaded to the Upload hub to be viewed by the world.
Using the Microsoft app HIGS I led the UI design team in creating a simple, easy to use but visually appealing video editing app. I was also involved in creating VFX and graphic overlays which users could apply to their footage plus the design of the Upload Studio logo.

Brazil World Cup 2014 was a snapped app experience, designed as an XboxOne platform app.
I led the design team to create an app which users could snap whilst they where watching TV or playing games. The UI had to be unobtrusive but still clearly visible and easy to navigate. I created flags for every country which the user could set as their background image. This choice also changed the colour scheme of the UI to match the selected country. I created 5 schemes which were enough to cater for all flags.

The Paddy Power style is very flat and quite sober which didn't suit the fun nature of a Facebook experience. As a result I took their colour palette but made the buttons visually more appealing, added a leaderboard and introduced a social element.
A cross between a card collection game and spot the ball, Own the Zone allowed users to build up a squad. They could then use these players to place bets on the pitch as to where a footballer would score, assist or get a red or yellow card. Using live data from matches, users could see their progress throughout the 90 minutes. The task was to create something easy to use and visually friendly.
I looked at other football apps with results screens and lists. Most of them where clear and simple but lacked any personality or fun. I created something which was just as user friendly but injected highlights of colour and brought it to life using iconography.
